Sergei Sobyanin: About 1.2 billion trips have been made on the MCC
At the same time, the number of people who use the Moscow Central Circle to move around the city is growing.

Nine years ago, the Moscow Central Circle (MCC) appeared in the capital. Over the years, it has become one of the most convenient, comfortable and popular modes of urban public transport. Sergei Sobyanin wrote about the MCC in a post on his channelin the messenger MAX.

“Passengers have already made about 1.2 billion trips on the MCC. The number of people who use the central circle to move around the city is growing all the time,” wrote the Mayor of Moscow.

Today, the MCC is a symbol of Moscow’s ongoing development. New neighborhoods have sprung up around its stations in what were previously abandoned areas and industrial zones. Moscow residents have been given comfortable homes, and businesses have found new opportunities for development.

“We are now doing everything we can to make the trains run even more frequently. The intervals between trains have already been halved, and is now just four minutes during peak hours,” emphasized Sergei Sobyanin.
