Sergei Sobyanin supported the Spasskaya Tower Festival

A decision was made to support the 17 th International Spasskaya Tower Military Music Festival and events timed to the 130 th anniversary of the birth of Sergei Yesenin. Sergei Sobyanin signed a decree on the allocation of a grant from the city budget for these purposes.
The 17 th International Spasskaya Tower Military Music Festival will be held from August 22 to August 31. 1.5 thousand musicians from 20 bands from different countries are expected to participate. The main participants representing our country will be the bands of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Rosgvardia (National Guard), Ministry for Emergency Situations, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Federal Security Service and Federal Security Guard Service of Russia.
This year the festival is dedicated to the 80 th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the defenders of the Fatherland. Traditionally, the main venue will be Red Square. In addition, as in previous years, performances of military bands will be held in city parks, on alleys, squares and other significant places of the capital.
The Spasskaya Tower Military Music Festival has been held in Moscow since 2007. During that time, it has attracted teams from nearly 60 countries. More than 900 thousand people became spectators of the festival, and the audience of live broadcasts only for the last 5 years exceeded 50 million people.
The year 2025 marks the 130 th anniversary of the birth of the poet Sergei Yesenin. The culmination of the program of events timed to this date will be a concert at the State Kremlin Palace, it will be held on October 1.
In addition, Moscow cultural institutions are preparing many exhibitions, performances, lectures, movie screenings and other events. Thus, in June, thematic events will be held at the Red Square Book Festival. In autumn. in the “Yesenin Center” of the Moscow State Museum of Sergei Yesenin (Chernyshevsky Lane, 4, building 2) will open the exhibition “1925. December” with unique archival documents.
On October 24 there will be a solemn awarding ceremony for the winners of the International Literary Award named after Sergei Yesenin “Oh, Russia, flap your wings”.
In September, the city festival “Any of us is at least a little bit Yesenin” will be held. The events will be held at Gorky Park, the Krasny Oktyabr art cluster, city cultural centers and other venues. Gastronomic master classes, educational lectures, theater and music programs are waiting for guests.
In October, a thematic exhibition “Moscow in Yesenin’s Life” will be organized on Tverskoy Boulevard, featuring photographs, posters and postcards from the collections of the Yesenin Museum and other museums.
In general, about 120 events dedicated to the 130 th anniversary of the birth of S. A. Yesenin are planned in the institutions subordinate to the Department of Culture of Moscow.
