These include, in particular, one of the oldest buildings on Arbat Street, which houses the Alexander Pushkin Memorial Apartment. Façades of the house in Khlebny Pereulok, which belonged to composer Alexei Verstovsky, are also restored. Now architects have almost completed their restoration work on façades of the Savvinsky Metochion. They are putting in order the rich decorations of the main entrances and restoring the historical look of the interiors.
They are also recreating the reservoir tower at the Moscow-Tovarnaya station of the Ryazan-Ural railway line. The work is being carried out under the preferential program called 1 Ruble per 1 Square Meter per Year.
“In Gorokhovsky Pereulok, they are restoring the façades and the roof of the 18 th-19 th century Demidov House, and the building’s main decoration-the six-column portico,” adds the Moscow Mayor.
In the future, the authorities are going to revamp the 19 th century manor house of the Smirnov-Lopatina Mansion on Burdenko Street. After completion, it will be adapted to accommodate offices.
