Sergei Sobyanin on upgraded rolling stock in the Moscow Metro
By 2030, the Moscow Metro will get about 2,000 new cars enhanced with passengers and drivers in mind.

The Moscow Metro operates 6,600 cars with more than 5,000 being part of new-generation trains, as announced by Sergei Sobyanin on his Telegram channel.

“By 2030, we aim to get about 2,000 more cars, with the share of new trains to increase to 95 per cent. We are enhancing metro cars with passengers and drivers in mind,” the Moscow Mayor says.

The Oka train set to work in 2012, the Moskva train in 2017 and the Moskva-2020 train in 2020.

Launched on the Zamoskvoretskaya line this March, the most innovative Moskva-2024 trains now also run on the new Troitskaya line.
