On the days of difficult trials, the strength of our cohesion and unity is especially felt, as the whole city, without exaggeration, came to the rescue. Almost 400 firefighters and rescuers, more than 140 firefighting devices and fire pump trucks were involved in extinguishing the fire in Crocus City Hall. 44 ambulance teams and three medical helicopters were sent to the scene of the tragedy. Doctors are doing everything to save lives and quickly heal those who were injured, Sergei Sobyanin writes on his Telegram channel.
More than 100 employees of the Moscow ambulance and disaster medicine center, over 700 doctors and nurses, who joined the shifts in hospitals, participated in rescuing the victims. Local hospitals admitted 94 people in all, 34 have already been discharged, 60 receiving treatment. The number of patients in an extremely serious condition has decreased almost threefold. None of those admitted in a serious condition was lost. More than 7,700 people donated blood,
110 social workers and more than 150 psychologists keeping in touch 24/7 with the families of the dead and the injured, including those coming from other Russian regions.
“The capital’s business provided really great aid with donations, material resources, vehicles and even writing off loans to the victims. Moscow restaurants and retailers sent over 215 million rubles to help the injured and families of the dead. Muscovites themselves donated more than 20 million rubles to help the injured and families of the victims through charity solutions. Complete elimination of the terrorist attack aftermath will take some time, and helping the victims will be our ongoing concern. “Many thanks and low bow to everyone who honestly fulfilled their duty these days, showed courage, mercy and compassion,” wrote the Moscow Mayor.
