Sergei Sobyanin: We will keep integrating ticketing systems of Moscow and Moscow region
Modernizing the above-ground transport route network in order to ensure comfort for passengers traveling to rail transport stations is a priority for the transport system development.

Moscow and the region will keep developing the joint transport space used by millions of passengers every day, wrote Sergei Sobyanin in his blog.

Four Moscow Central Diameters (MCDs) opened by the end of 2023. It was a joint project by Governments of Moscow, the Moscow region and Russia. For the first time, the above-ground metro provided seamless trips between the two largest Russian territories. The MCDs feature uniform tariffs, payment means, comfort and safety standards.

140 new kilometers of dedicated road lanes set up in the Moscow region significantly improved passenger traffic over the connected above-ground transport routes.

“One of our priorities till 2030 will be to ensure comfortable arrival of passengers to rail transport stations. We are going to keep developing the P&R parking network, so that people from the Moscow region could leave their cars there for free and switch to the public transport,” said the Moscow Mayor.

By 2030, these lots are planned to offer over 150 thousand parking spots.

The integration of Moscow and the Moscow region ticketing systems, including at Yaroslavsky and Paveletsky rail branches, will continue, along with the practice of charge-free transfers between different modes of transport.
