Oleg Lvovich Mitvol’ - Prefect of the Moscow City Northern administrative community in the rank of Minister of the Moscow City Government
Oleg Lvovich Mitvol’ was born in 1966 in Moscow.
In 1988 he graduated from the Moscow Electrotechnical Institute of Communication, specializing in radio engineering.
In 1988 – 1989 Oleg Mitvol’ worked as a development engineer in the Institute of Space Exploration of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
In 1989 he graduated from the Centre under Plekhanov Institute of the National Economy, specializing in economic management of research and engineering development. Author of a patent.
In 2003 he defended a thesis named «The Information Policy in the Soviet Union» in the Moscow Teachers' Training University. Doctor of History.
In 1997 – 2003 Mitvol’ was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the JSC «News and publishing group «Novye Izvestiya».
In 2007 he graduated from the Moscow State Law Academy, specializing in jurisprudence.
In 2004 – 2009 he was Deputy Head of the Russian Federal Service for the Oversight of Natural Resources.
In July 2009 Oleg Lvovich was appointed Prefect of the Moscow City Northern administrative community in the rank of Minister of the Moscow City Government.
He was awarded the badge of honour of the Ministry of Natural Resources «For Distinguished Service». Honourary worker of environmental protection.
Oleg Mitvol’ is one of the leaders of the inter-regional environmental movement «Green Alternative».
He is married and has a daughter.
His hobbies are travelling and sports. He is also keen on photography.
